Similar to winMd5Sum and MD5Summer, DeadHash enables users to easily check their files for any issues through an easy-to-use UI. How do I use DeadHash?
DeadHash comes as an installable program for your PC or a portable one that you can open and use right away after extraction. It features a clean and modern user interface design, and provides you with options to verify either a file or text. Click on File and you will proceed to another screen where you can paste a file path or click on the Select button to browse your PC for it. Once chosen, click on the Calculate button to start processing.
Additionally, if you're cross-verifying hash values, you can click on the Compare checkbox before calculating. Data results can easily be copied to and from any application as needed. Alternatively, you can export it to a CSV file for future use or reference. Back to the main screen, the Text tab can be used to verify text hash and check whether the content has been modified or not.
Lastly, click on the gear icon at the top-right for additional settings. Here you can switch themes and select color accents. You can also choose which hashing algorithms will be included in calculations. One visual glitch to note is when you open DeadHash, it takes a while for the UI to appear sometimes and you will only see a blank screen.
